WACIT Asia 2: When the Jakarta orphanage boys joined in too

Initially the boys looked apprehensive, particularly those with disabilities. But they quickly warmed up in drawing, singing and dancing. They were inquisitive and keen to please.

They were relaxed and friendly with carers and teachers, and we had some opportunities to discuss some educational strategies before the training tomorrow.

For now, the teaching came from Usuf and the other boys, who showed me the Indonesian dancing movements!  The girls taught me some Bahasa language words. They seemed to find my slow learning hilarious!
